This tote is made from an up-cycled polypropylene bag that formerly contained animal feed. These bags were originally made to be tough enough to withstand carrying 50 lbs of grain products. They’re resistant to mold and mildew and both the printing and the weave structure hold up to repeated abuse. It was a shame to send these to a landfill when they were obviously durable enough to have a second life - and who doesn’t love walking out of the store with a bag that is proudly agriculturally-themed?

These totes are washed, cut and assembled by hand on an antique sewing machine and utilizing thrifted thread. Your purchase continues to support my efforts to be as environmentally sustainable as possible while cutting your own usage of single use plastic grocery bags.
