Maggie - 2025 Coated Raw Fleece

$175.00

Margaret (aka Maggie, aka Dame Maggie Smith) is a 3 year old Debouillet ewe purchased from Whirldworks Farm out of Texas in 2022. She grows a superfine fleece and is on par with Merida with 18.5 micron fiber. She gave us a 3.75lb fleece this year with a 2.75” staple. If you’re looking for frog hair, Maggie grows it.

Maggie escaped the tender, loving, application of the hose after our dust storms last spring - probably because I couldn’t catch her. Because she doesn’t grow wool very fast, I don’t think she had much growth for dirt to stick to. Her fleece is consistent, super fine with fine crimp. No tenderness and the tips are sound.

Shipping is included in the price for the contiguous US. If you’re outside of that, please use the contact form to get a shipping quote for your area.
