Marilyn - 2025 Coated Raw Fleece

$273.00
sold out

Marilyn is a 3 year old Debouillet ewe, purchased from the Jones Ranch in 2022. Her 2025 fleece weighs 6.2lb skirted weight and has a 4” staple length throughout. Marilyn is my top producing ewe with the heaviest fleece weight and the longest staple and has oodles of personality to match. If you feel like getting into mischief while working with this fleece, it’s that Marilyn energy egging you on.

Pictures show the fleece, a representative lock with ruler, and a few pictures of the fleece layers in the bag. I didn’t get coats on right away after shearing last year and we had spring windstorms that drove dirt into the fleeces - so a few sheep (including Marilyn) got a rinse off before getting their coats back. This is the color difference visible in the photos, but the tips are sound and consistent with the rest of the lock. The staple has even, well-defined crimp and the hand on this fleece is divine. Last picture is of a washed lock.

Expect about the same lanolin levels as you would with a Merino fleece.

Shipping within the contiguous US included in price. If you’re outside of this area, please use the contact form to get a shipping quote.
